    Laundry machine backing up
For the last year or so I have been having problems with my laundry machine draining. I live in a mobile home, about 4 years old. My machine leaks sometimes when it drains. This usually happens when I either do 3-4 laods in a row or happens almost every time if I do towels no matter how many I had done that day. Its not leaking from the machine its leaking from the pipes, its actually coming back up and coming out of the pipe where the machine connets to the wall. I have tried draino a couple of times. I have tried baking soda and water and I have even tried snaking it. The maintnence dept here suggested I take a shop vac to the pipe and turn it on, other then that he said it wasn't the fault of where I live its in my house. This is driving me insane so any help would be appreciated. I if helps my the pipe that the water goes to t's once the water gets close to the floor, I don't know if it could possibly be a clog past that area. But if so, how could a laundry machine produced so much to make it clog like that?

Have you tried a "build up remover" chemical?

The detergents can cause the pipes to get lines with a sticky goo. The lint from the towels may be clinging to the goo. Snaking will only clear a small path.

The clog could be further down the line towards your septic or city sewer connection. So if the buildup remover doesn't help, you may want to call a professional sewer cleaner and have them snake the main line.

This was the problem in my home. The first load would run fine, but the 2nd load would back up on the rinse cycle. Third load would make a complete mess of the laundry room.
