    Parental Rights
Can I sign over my parental rights in the state of Texas? I am still willing to pay child support, I just don't want to be involved in the child's life. He doesn't know me, he has a did in the picture and has known him since he was 6 months old. The mother and I argue all of the time and its best to sign my rights over.
    Thank you.

    Parental Rights and Forms?
How can I sign my parental rights over in the state of Texas without legal representation? I have no money and can do the forms on my own. I just don't know where to get the forms. How long does it usually take? Can the mother of the child stop me from signing my rights over?

Did you read this before you posted? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family...st-116098.html

You can't sign your rights over. You are responsible for the child (at least financially) until a Government agency strips you of your rights or someone adopts the child.

The mother has nothing to do with this. The State will not allow it.

What is your purpose in attempting to "sign away" your rights?

You posted this twice and I have asked that those posts be combined.

You cannot sign your rights away.

If the child doesn't want to see you or you don't want to see the child, no one can force visitation.

Pay your child support on time and (presumably) you would not have a need to speak to the mother.

As a side note - why should the child be deprived of a father because you and the mother can't act like responsible adults?
