    Student loans over 20 years
I had a student loan 25 years. The school that I attended was closed down for failure to comply with students. The school would not supply students with jobs in their line of profession and when they graduated. I never got to graduate and did not get my diploma. This was in 1995. The federal government took my taxes on the rest of the money that was not paid. This has been going on 20 years and they are still wanting to take my taxes and now I am being theatened by them. They are saying that they will garnish my wages. They have been taking my taxes for 15 years.

    So?

If you had a federal student loan, you owe the money and they can keep taking the money till it is all paid, including interest and penalties
