    What is the principle in law for a charge laid before an offence was committed?
    A charge was laid on the 10th January, 2010 but the offence was committed on the 10th February, was is the principle in law or charge called?

    Im not understanding how they can charge you for something you haven't done yet. What was the charge and where is this happening at?

    If there is no crime then there is no charge of offense.

    We're missing something here... There's no legal system in the world that can contemplate a crime being committed in the future.

    I DID see a cool movie recently, that dealt with that very subject... They had a police force called PRE-CRIME. They knew who was about to commit a crime and arrested him before he had a chance to do it... But, that was just a movie.
