    Probation Violations.. jail time
Got charged wit a misdemeanor for possession of meth with intent to sale, no drug tax stamp, they gave me 1 year probation and misdemeanor instead of felony. I've failed a couple u.a's and had trouble finding a job. I am a single 23 year old mother of 2 babies with no car. I went to treatment and completed early because my kids were being tossed around between family. After treatment went back home got a job paid off my fines and reported just about everyday. My P.o hated me from the first time we met. She's never given me a chance. Yes I have lied to her many many times but I'm doing my best now to make things right and she won't give me any of her time. Some violations I have are incorrect also. Scheduled me on one day and violates me because its not the same as what she had in her book. If I did miss a day she never called or anything. I went to court and the judge sentenced me to one year in county jail. I have paid my fines and I have a job. What am I suppose to do with my kids. Why wouldn't he let me do weekends or even shorter sentence. Im suppose to turn myself in on January 3,2011. I've heard I can get an appeal or something like that. This is my first time ever being in trouble with drugs almost anything for that matter. Please what do I do.

The court does not care what you do with your kids, if your family can not take them, they will be taken by children's services and most likely put in foster homes.

You can appeal, but have to do so within a certain time frame, and also have to have a reason, some court error that was made.

It appears you have numerous violations and that is why, the judge feels from the evidence they had, that you were not taking your probation seroiusly. You lied to the PO

You failed your UA's which means you were still using drugs, how long since the last failed UA,
But it appears the judge felt that you were just not really trying and they wanted to get your attention

Fr Chuck is absolutely right. Your problems are... your problems and if you can't take care of your kids they go into the system. The thought is, you should have thought of that before you violated the law and your probation.

Your PO didn't like you, the po made mistakes, the po was mean... etc..

Maybe if you had clean ua's the judge might have paid attention to you?

Next time you get a chance to be on probation, look at it as the 2nd chance it is and follow the rules, go the extra mile and call and confirm your appointments with the PO.
