Hi, I have a 4-month bernese puppy who has a bloody tear area in his right eye...
The doctor gave us an ointment which did not work... the lachrymal area is always with a red/brown color, like old blood... Each time I ask her she says it might be an allergy... It has been like this for 2 months already... sometimes his lower eyelid is down... I am worried... Thanks in advance for your help! Laura

I would go to another vet for a second opinion.

Sorry, but we really can't give an accurate diagnosis. If the vet thinks it's allergies than I'm surprised she hasn't ordered allergy testing after 2 months of this.

I'd really seek a second opinion.
