    Ordered to pay
I received a notice to pay in 24 hours to avoid eviction. Does that mean I'm evicted in 24 hours

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Second, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. However, I know of no area that allows a 24 hour notice. Generally the eviction process works like this:
    1) LL serves notice to vacate. This notice can be either a 3 day pay or quit notice or a 30-60 lease termination notice. The amount of time depends on local law and the type depends on the circumstances.
    2) If the deadline is not met (i.e. no pay or no vacate) the landlord then files with the local housing court for an eviction order.
    3) A hearing is scheduled at which the court issues an eviction order or denies one (rare).
    4) If the tenant still doesn't vacate by the effective date of the order, the LL hires a sheriff to physically remove the tenant.

If you live in a week to week extended stay type location, the rules are different, ( not that you said this was the case)

So we need to know where you are at, what type of rental agreement, lease, month to month and so on.
