Hi friends *** help me I am like fish out of water, want to attempt suicide but bcoz of my mum I'm still alive, we are 5 family my dad passed away 1 year back.we are 3 daughters for her and she is a second wife for my dad we are south indians and telugu people. And our caste is also different mum is ksrtriya and dad is kapu. Now a days I am getting matches for marriage but due to this this reason they are taking back step, we are brought up very good, we don't have any bad habits and we always do good to other and help thm if they are in need and all say that such a good peple you all are, but I don't ustand why people by knwing the background of ours are taking back step. Please help me is this a real problem for our future and I am afraid bcoz of this. I am crying for this and I don't want my mum to feel bad that I am worried , I always want her to be happy , right now I'm working and earning 12 k per month. Mum is also a retired govt employ, my dad job is given to my step brother, they all got separated and living separately me and my 2 sister and my mum stay together, we are living happily with what we have but always worried about our future, I always check that my mother should not be sad because of us, I want her to be happy always I love her, I'm still alive because of her, please help me my id is >removed<

If I am reading this correctly you are concerned because your society says you are not a good match for some caste that is different than yours, am I correct so far? I cannot change your culture. Or traditions. But have to ask if you associate with people of your own caste to which you may have more in common with, or are all the guys you meet in another caste.

I think this is more societies concern than yours. And you are just caught up in it. Talk to your mom and get some understanding on what she thinks. And maybe it will help you get beyond the way others see things, and how they often affects us with there own views. Yes it can be depressing, but it can also be overcome in time, as you grow, learn, and understand better.

I think we all, no matter the country, culture, or traditions get overwhelmed when we are faced with difficult events in our lives, and have tough choices to make. That can be very depressing, but keep your head up, and work through it with the love, and support of your family.

I imagine your mom knows full well what you are going through so talk to her.
