How long do plastic tubal clamps come off?
I had my plastic tubal clamps put on when I was 21, and now I am 32 years old. I would like to have a baby now. As before I was in a very very abusive relationship so I decided to have only the 1 boy and 1 girl. That's when I decided to have them clamped. Rite now, I have someone new in my life and want a baby with him. We been together for 3 1/2 years. I do feel nausea, vomiting in the morning-or when I drink coffee, I feel some movement in my tummy, I get some breast leakage, tenderness, backache, feel something beating or tightening, and pain in my lower ab area. But still get my period, and tried a home pregnancy test. Im scared I might have a tubal pregnancy so that's why I need to know now.

You really need to see your doctor to determine whether you are pregnant already. If not, you can discuss the procedure to remove the clamps. The surgery is about an hour and the success rate will depend on the condition of your fallopian tubes and how easily they can be rejoined.

It would be too early to feel movement in your belly if indeed you are pregnant. The feeling of movement is usually felt around 18 weeks gestation in the woman who has already had childre, and after 20 weeks in the woman who has never been pregnant.

With that said, a tubal should always be considered permanent sterilization. Even your type of tubal, while reversal is possible, it is not guaranteed due to a build up of scar tissue.

To find the answer you desire, you really need to see your OB/GYN.
