Straight thread to pex pipe connector
My heating radiators have a reducer to 3/4" straight thread. For the 2 holes for venting and the plug I have the proper
Fitting with a soft rubber or silicone ring that makes a seal. For the connections to pex pipe my plumber tried pipe dope/ teflon tape / pipe dope- Does not work, after a few heating cycles The connections start to leek. Is there a connector with a flat or grooved surface for an 0-ring available? |

I try to use PEX pipe to replace copper pipe for Aircorn units. I try to use R22 and R410. The result after 6 month still working and no leaking and cracking on the pipe. My question is : The PEX can stand the Refrigerant, Why no body apply it.

If I need to run lines for sink,toilet and shower can I tap into a hot and cold line any where and use one line split off three ways too run all. Or is there a better way...
