How to Pursue Legal Action for Payment of Promissory Note?
How do I pursue payment in full of a promissory note in the amount of $17,500 from a buyer who purchased my business back in 2008 and has not made any payments on the note? The note was issued in the state of Massachusetts where the business was located and sold. The buyer has since moved to Texas, and I am now living in the state of Georgia.

You have to file a civil suit, the only question is where. Since the note was executed in MA I would suspect that venue would have jurisdiction. What happened to the business? Did he sign the promissory note as a person or for a corporate entity? |
