Yes. I should have re-read my question. It is an electric clutch. It is also quite cold out, about 5-10 degrees below zero (-20 C). I am thinking of bypassing the stock button and putting in a switch for now. It is too cold out to do much wrenching outside.

    Hi,
It requires no tools to replace the swithch; it has a plug with wires and four tabs on the bottom side the lock it to the dash.
Try sitting on the seat, switch On, and engage the clutch to see if it clicks. If it does not, check the wires leading to it and attached to it. Check the blue wires at the plug for 12V coming out of the switch.
    Peace,
    Clarke

Thank you. I bypassed everything and put my own switch in until I can take it to a dealer for warranty. No more problem.

John deere mower will not engage [ 0 Answers ]

My mower will start and run perfectly but will not engage in forward or reverse. There feels like there is hydraulic pressure when pushing the petals, but no going anywhere. I have removed the blade deck and the belts underneath are in good order and are tight.
