    Can a multifetal pregnancy with a uterine window be prolonged until age of fetal lung maturity?

    It would be difficult. A multiple pregnancy tends to have a shorter gestation to begin with... add to that the concern of a uterine rupture, especially with more than one baby, odds are great that babies would need to be delivered early to prevent even more potential problems for both mother and babies.

    When an early birth is likely, or preferred as would likely be this type of situation, helping speed up the maturation process of the lungs would be utilized.

    How long they would let someone go is really a wait and see situation with very careful monitoring.
