Can computer speakers be hooked to a TV
I have a HDTV that does not have enough volume for the location. I want to add some economical speakers to it. The only thing I've seen in my price range is computer speakers. I would need to use an adapter to connect the RCA audio output from the TV to the 3.5mm input jack on the speakers. Will this work? I'm not sure if there is a compatibility issue so decided to ask before buying.

    Thanks

Should definitely work. You might even be able to avoid purchasing the adapter if your TV has a headphone jack on it.

Also make sure not to use both the external speakers and TV speakers at the same time because you will hear an echo effect if you do.
