    Why is my TV humming?
I have a 50 in Samsung TV. I mounted it on the wall and now it is humming. It hums even when the volume is turned all the way down. I tried unplugging one component at a time and it still hums. It gets louder and softer depending on the lighting of the program. I unhooked the coax cable from the cable box and the humming stops, when I hook the coax cable back up even changing the coax cable it starts humming again.

Does this happen on all inputs? Or is this just on your coax connection? If it is just on the coax connection, there is a chance that you have some noise in the coax line. There could be any number of causes for this.

Are you using antenna or basic cable? If not, then I would suggest connecting your equipment a different way as using coax is the worst method of connecting a cable or satellite box.

Have you tried connecting it to different inputs? Also, try pulling up the menu and such when you have the coax line disconnected from the box. It's possible that your TV is humming just when a picture of some kind is displayed.

If you have anything else to connect, this could help eliminate the TV as the source of the problem and narrow it down to either your cable box or your coax line itself.
