    Change jurisdiction
I have recently moved to the state of Michigan from FL. I had a pending contempt case the was just dismissed in FL for the mom denying my visitation. The case was dismissed because I moved to MI to be closer to the kids before we actually went in front of the judge. The court told me to pursue my case in MI because we both live here now. The only problem is our court paperwrok states that FL retains jurisdiction and FL remains the kids home state. How do I petition the court to release jurisdiction so that I can pursue it here. (we have already tried to pursue child support here but MI denied it due to lack of jurisdiction)
