I am in 11th grade and I went out with this boy in 9th grade we didn't go out for long but I fell head over heels for him, little did I know he still had feelings for his ex girlfriend. So he ended up breaking up with me and getting back with her. He would still keep in touch with me and saw me once (behind her back)-because she didn't want him talking or seeing me. One day he finally listened to her and said good bye to me. But every once in a while his name would pop up on my phone. And a year later he told me he was sorry and made a big mistake and that he should have never left me. He finally broke up with her (after they were dating for a year) and would keep talking to me on and off. But now we are talking again but he says he doesn't want a girlfriend but I don't want to tell him good bye because I am still in love with him and I think he loves me, everyone keeps telling me to say good bye to him and move on and give someone else a chance because he doesn't want a girlfriend but I cant. I love him too much and don't want to leave him, idkk what to do HELP :[

Honestly... it sounds like he wants you to be his rebound relationship. He probably knows how "head over heels" you were and always kept you as a back up. So remember, it is ultimately your decision on whether to get back with this guy, but remember that if you do, you are risking to be in this situation, now if you are willing to take a chance and maybe end up on the same spot a while from now then do it. I would recommend not to because he is using you as a way not to fall, or so it seems, but it is your call.

Well thanks, I guess that's not the answer I really wanted. I wanted to know if he actually does want to be with me. But I don't think he wants to be with anyone... he told me I'm the type of girl he wanted to marry, but I guess not the type he wants to be with? I don't know I just love him still and its hard to let go, but thank you.

I understand... but I am telling you the reality of the situation. Whether he wants to be with you doesn't matter if it is for the wrong reasons. It won't last and won't be healthy!
