Suddenly: no water from kitchen sink
Our kitchen sink just stopped flowing. All the other taps in the hourse work normally as does the dishwasher which is connected to the same line. But there is no water coming through the hot or cold taps at all. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

If, after removing the aerator you still can't get any water out of the valve then the problem is a blockage in the faucet itself. Now we need all the information you can give us . Brand name, one handle or two? How old is it? Does the spray work if there is one? Let's have everything you have. Regards, Tom

Thanks for the responses. I took the aerator off, but it didn't make a difference.

The faucet is old enough that I don't see any names etched on it. There are two handles for hot water and cold water. There is a sprayer, but the spray nozzle is broken. :(
    I've never used it.

Close the angle valves under the sink, disconnect the supply line at faucet place it in pan open the angle valve check the water flow if good flow problem is with your faucet if no flow problem is with the angle valve.
Next step if the flow is good connect the supply lines keep the angle valves closed remove the handled and the cartridges, put a pan on top of the faucet open the angle valve slowly to flush out any debris out of the faucet, assemble the faucet and try.
My other suggestion is to replace the whole faucet with a new one, good luck.

Turn off the water under the cabinet,
If you have a two handle faucet, turn off the angle stops and pop the emblem off the top of the handle. Unscrew the bolt and remove the handle. Unscrew the retaining nut from the chrome cover and you are left with the stem and the bonnet packing nut. If there is a nut below the bonnet that is the top of the valve body holding the stem and washer assembly and the one you want to unscrew. Remove the stem and washer. Look down in the seat for trash. Now your going to flush the hot line. Put a pan over the open hot side to dirvert the water back into the sink and VERY CAREFULLY crack the hot water angle stop. If there is trash in the line hopefully this will flush it out. If the washer is worn or the seat rough or nicked, replace them. Now reassemble the faucet. You should have a full stream. Good luck and thank you for rating my reply. TOM
