Very small yard no grass my dog won't go outside to pee
I have a 10 year old female dog we have moved house around 3 months ago. She has just started peeing in the house. We have a very small yard with no grass. What can we do to make her go outside

She's peeing in your house due to change, not because there is no grass.

Just start from ground zero. Use a crate, take her out from time to time and supervise her potty time. Praise when she does go potty and go back in.

Older dogs don't adapt to change very well. Her pottying in the house is just her displaying her displacement/stress. Just work her through it and stick to a schedule and she'll soon get back on track.

Lucky gave you some great info here, another thing you can try is the puppy patch, it's an actual patch of grass. Don't use it inside, but make a spot for it out side, and take her to it every time she needs out. The added benefit is all her business will be in one area, much easier for clean up!

To make your dog use the restroom outside can be hard. You can set up a little spot where you want her to go and make it look welcoming to her and then try putting smells of other dogs there too.(it makes it feel safer)

Beat me to it Bella, I was going to suggest setting up a small section of the yard with fake grass.
You can buy the "potty patch" or some big hardware stores or garden centres will sell the fake turf by the foot. They are quite long rolls so if you bought a little over a foot you could cut it up into 3 or 4 squares to allow for removal and cleaning.

My dog won't pee in the back yard [ 6 Answers ]

My one year old labrador will not go in to the back yard to pee. He doesn't really like going out there on his own, he will eventually pee but it's a battle to see who gives in first! If he is put outside on his own he just sits and looks at the door. He doesn't pee inside, just holds on to it...
