My friend was caught shoplifting in singapore,cops was called and he was taken to police station.He was later released on bail and finally a stern warning was issued to him.He was fortunately not convicted in court.He was a first time offender,is very highly qualified and had been serving at very respectable positions throughout his career.It was his bad day.She actually forgot to pay for the item,worth S$120.She had a chat with one of the employees' of the store regarding collection of some item in half an hour's time and left the storeS.he realised her mistake and went back to the store to keep the item back at its place but got offended as the staff was working near by and finally thought that since she is going to come back to the same store in half an hour's time to collect the reserved item,she ll put it back at that time.That was what went wrong.She was stopped by the staff then as by that time they were informed about the happening by some other store as they mentioned that the shopping complex has a centralised CCTV system.there were at least 7 store staff members and she was so many questions even about for the items she already had in her bag which were already perchased at some other time and she wanted an exchange for them.Unfortunately she did not have a receipt of those items but all the price tags were intact.Cops was called and she was taken to police station.Hopefully she was not asked much about the other items as those belonged to her.I bailed for her.She was later given a stern warning.She was so much upset about the happening that she accepted it as a n offence and accepted stern warning as an easy go.its been a year now but she is still scared.
I would like to know how it reflects in police record.She has already left Singapore for ever.But she has applied for her Australian Immigration which may ask for the latest Police certificate.She is expecting her turn shortly.Can anyone advice on what ll be mentioned on her CNCC.

I am sorry I did not mean to be cheeky.I am just trying to help my friend.I gave all the details because I thought they might be helpful understanding the whole episode.Might be of help to other members.Please be considerate that it might take a lot of courage to open up with your problems to the public and asking for help and one must feel fortunate if he/she can really help.U always get blessings.I ll brief it now.
1.She was arrested for shop lifting worth S$120.
2.She was given a stern warning and let go.
3.She has left Singapore.
4.She has filed for Australian Immigration for which she might have to submit fresh PCC.
5.What ll be mentioned in her Police record and how can it affect her immigration case.

If the warning was just that - a warning, no Police Report, no arrest - she has nothing to worry about.

If, however, there was a formal report, anything along those lines, she will minimally have to explain things in order to enter Australia.

The fact that she left Singapore leads me to believe it was a warning, nothing more.
