How to prove my sister is Unfit?
My sister is 22 years old and has a two year old child. She lives with the baby's daddy, at his parents house. My sister and her child's dad are not together and they constantly fight. My sister does not work a lot of hours, she lives off the grandparents and expects the child's dad to do everything. On top of that; Every Friday and Saturday night, my sister goes out and parties and does not come home to two/three in the morning. She leaves the child with her mom, and I use to live with that mom and it is not a good household. The house is filled with wild mice, that live below the house (when I lived there) and a lot of other people. The grandama (sister's mom), who the child is left with is an unfit parent herself, she knew about someone sexually assulting her two chilldren and did nothing about it! All she did was give us a lock and told us to lock are door when he was here. The guy was married to a relative and came over offten. The guy use to live in the same house with everyone that lives there. Currently he is in jail for an attempted rape charge. But he should be out anytime now.
I know my sister is not the best mom in the world. She put herself before everything even her child. The grandparents who she lives with do everything for them, because that baby will not be taken care of. She feels that if she is not hungrey the baby is not hungry for food and won't feed her,
    Will this prove her unfit

Is the baby in poor health ? You can report her to children's services and allow them to investigate

There are authorities to judge these situations which have to be backed up with a lot of proof as well from family members. So yes, you will have to step up to the plate and speak out if you feel this is an unfit situation. Call Family Services in your area and get the ball rolling if you are serious about this claim and want something better for the child.

The fact that the child is living in a home that a sex offender could come to at any time would be enuf reason for me to do something about it. Mice cannot be helped at times, but is still unsanitary. But if the mother of the child is living there knowing that the home is not a safe place, and puts parties and her own pleasures before the child's needs, I feel that she may be unfit and you should report the situation.
