I don't remember who told this but someone on here told me that I should have my boyfriend take vitamins that has a lot of zinc in it and the only one we could fine with the most zinc in was the ONCE A DAY MENS HEALTH 50 PLUS... he's 38yrs is that to young to be taking it? He insisted that we get it since it had the most zinc... also I have problems handling large pills do you guys know of any prenatial vitamins that aren't horse pill size??

Anyone should take supplements, but you are the one who should be taking vitamins. The 50plus vitamins would be okay for him, it just has some he doesn't need, which will be eliminated by his body anyway. Buy a pill crusher, mix the vitamin with something you like, say pudding, apple sauce. That eliminates the big pill problem. Or buy a pill splitter.

As Tic said, the vitamin is fine for him. If he prefers another, he can certainly obtain the levels of zinc and other vitamins suggested from a variety of foods. Many cereals, for example, will have decent amounts. He doesn't need a tremendous amount. If he is eating pretty well, from a variety of foods, the vitamin will be extra insurance for him to fill in any gaps so to speak.

Some women find the one-a-day prenatals are easy to take, and pregnacare are very good, or you could try a liquid form of prenatal vitamin... Natures Plus makes one. Some women who have trouble taking vitamins or find the prenatals bother their stomach take two children's chewable vitamins instead. Check with your doctor or the pharmacist as well, they will likely have suggestions for you.
