    You may well just be late but 8 days after my period didn't arrive is when I took a home pregnancy test and it confirmed I was pregnant I'm now 38 weeks and 4 into my pregnancy and I'm seeking advice on here I think I could be in slow labour good luck and I hope you get the result your hoping for x

    Well sure you might be. You might not be. Nobody can tell you yes or no here.

    You can be late or skip for a number of reasons... diet, stress, age, pregnant, sickness... being "regular" doesn't mean you won't ever skip or be late.

    Only you know (hopefully) if you had sex when you were to be ovulating... but no matter. A test is the thing.

    We can talk all you want, but in the end the doc would order a blood test to confirm. If that's good enough and proper proof for the MD, I think it should be the gold standard here.

    And as you know hopefully, a negative means you need to try again later if you still skip, as hormone levels might be too low. A positive is usually correct if you followed the instructions correctly.
