2002 road king loses idle and speedometer
The speedometer stops working and at the same time it loses idle and it wants to stall. I get a check engine light that comes on and goes off. This all seems to happen during longer rides but I can't always get it to do it.

Today while driving my daily route 60 to 65 mph. fairly straight freshly resurfaced road my speedometer just zeroed out a few minutes. While riding my 1996 Harley Davidson Road King it sputtered and died. It has a new battery but when I tried to restart the starter would kick but it acted as if the battery was low. This is an electronic fuel injected model.
I haven't started my 02 HD low rider in 4 months, yesterday I went to start it and it starts rough and will not stay idle unless the choke is pulled. Also when I rev it, it starts poping ? Thanks Joe
