I live in the state of Texas and I filed for divorce June 7th... since then my husband
Has refused to sign the final divorce decree and refuses to do so thinking that I will throw him out of the home... My home was mine prior to my marriage to him... he has been living with me for 3 years and has NEVER paid a dime towarsds the mortgage payments. He has stopped paying on bills as he states that if he pays bills he cannot save up to move out... he knows that the police cannot make him leave "his home" and as a result says he will leave when he is good and ready... Im paying for everything while he is literally staying in my house for free! How can I evict him... this is not right!

Yes-they can do nothing. You have to file in Court for temporary order which will mandate who will remain in the home, the payment of bills , etc... if not signed, the divorce will not be completed until and unless a judge declares the divorce final.

Most divorces are not "agreeable" so you have to file in court for a divorce that is ordered by the court, and have the court order him to move out.
