Was working all those hours part of your hiring interview or did you just find out that you were to work all those hours? Most oil rig workers work so many days on and so many days off.

More facts. What country are you in? Who do you work for, and as an employee or contractor?

Every job has it hours, work on things like the river or for jobs like oil rigs work different,
So your hours are what your boss want them to be and you agree to ( working 24 hours on at a time is what many fire fighters do.

My oldest son works seven on and seven off in the oil fields. The seven on can be long days, to whenever the work is done.
Most likely your son knew this when he took the job and is probably under contract.

Unless your state has specific labor laws prohibiting these hours in your speficic trade, the only thing you can do, if you don't like it, is to quit.

What trade and what state are you in?
