    Sewer Vents
I have a new home on a conventinal septic system/leach filed with a grinder pump. I have noticed sewer smells in the basement in the past and now the smell has moved to under the kitchen sink, and I do see a vent pipe here. We have rough plumbing in the basement for an future bathroom/shower. There is also a vent pipe here-doesn't smell now. My husband cannot smell this under the sink but I do. Is there something we can to to check the vents before we call someone? Who should we call, a plumber ot the guy who installed our septic system?

Are there any open vents in your basement? Have you checked floor drain traps? You might wish to click on; EXPEL Odor Neutralizer
And see if that helps. Good luck, Tom
