Does a mother still get child support money if the father has no income?
Does a mother still get child support money if the father has no income and works "under the table" and never gets a tax return? Does the state give the mother the money or do you have to wait until he gets job?

If he works under the table and doesn't declare his income, then that would be fraudulent activity to the US government. If he never filed a tax return, they would certainly want to know why. I don't think the state steps in and pays his child support money, but he has to come up with it somehow if it is court ordered.

In some states there is a minimum amount of support ordered. Also support may be determined by looking at external factors. i.e. if he pays rent or a mortgage yet doesn't appear to have income.

Once the court orders support he is required to pay it unless he can show he has no income with which to pay it. And that may mean showing he has no income at all.

The problem here is collecting the support. If he has no apparent salary there may be little if any way for the support to be collected. In such a case, the court may threaten him with jail if he doesn't pay.

No the state does not just "pay her support" if the father does not pay, she collects nothing.

Most states have a min amount if the non custody partner is not working, we discovered yesterday I believe that GA it is 75 a month.

Now the issue here is, if he is working under the table, you go prove it in court, show his life style, make him prove how he pays his rent, pays for his car and so on
