Why would my glucose levels be high?
I am hypoglycimic, my glucose levels are always anywhere between 50-80. Maybe 90 after a good meal.

But I noticed over this last week, that for some reason, if I am NOT eating, my glucose shoots through the roof (in comparison to my average) at 140-180. This is confusing me. The highest I have ever gotten wa s 98, and that was after an afternoon of pizza cake and soda for a birthday party.

My doctor did a GTT, and said I'm fine. But now I'm thinking about going to my new doctor about an A1C test, now that I actually learned the difference in school lol.

But as far as I know, I'm not. I am hypoglycimic, and I was pre diabetic a few years ago, but I changed my diet and have lost weight. So my *old* doc said I was out of danger to becoming diabetic.
I'm starting to wonder if my old doctor was a dork though lol.

Jennie, do you realize that being pre-diabetic is a diagnosis of possibly being diabetic in the future?

What is your weight if you don't mind me asking? Also, your diet?

Hey j9, yeah that's what the doctor said. But once I started losing weight and easting better, he said I was no longer in danger from becoming diabetic.

I'm 5'3 and still weight 230lbs. I used to be 268. So I've lost a good amount. (not as much as I want though lol) I eat pretty healthy. Of course there are days I splurge and have a hot pocket and a diet rootbeer. But usually it's a bowl of cereal in the morning for breakfast (various kinds, I like cheerios and I like rice chex) a sandhwich (usually turkey, sometimes ham) for lunch, with mustard instead of mayo and no cheese. But I do sometimes splurge on the cheese lol I can't help it. Dinner is usuaully just a standard dinner. A mean, a veggie, and a startch. I've been trying to keep fatty meats out.

Snacks I try to keep celery or cucumbers around. Cause I love those with peanut butter. Sometimes ill have some chips. And I have a bag of mini tootie rolls that I will sometimes treat myself to 3 or 4 of them.

You really need to get checked out at the doctor. Don't risk it - make an appointment and be safe.
