Trane XR80 fan is continuously on
Furnace fan is continuously on, regardless of the FAN switch position (ON or AUTO). The thermostat is wired in three-wire configuration (Common, G, W). Model numbers:
- furnace: Trane XR80 - thermostat: White-Rodgers 1F78 Could anybody give me advice about how to troubleshoot and solve the problem? Les |

My xr80 furnace, when the fan is in the auto position, will not stay lit. it flames up for ten to fifty seconds but will not stay lit. when I turn the fan to the on position, it flames up and stays lit. I cleaned the furnace and filter. What could it be? What else can I do?

Trane xr80 is blowing cold air. When first turned on, it flashed a red light once and then the light goes off.
