How I claim my J1 taxes from 2005 and 2004
    Hi

My name is Boris from Dominican Republic, in 2004 and 2005 I was a J1 student working in the summer in USA, but how I moved so much I never could claim my taxes. But now I need to know how to do it. And which will be the amount of money I could get if I paid like 10,000 USD total in taxes.

    Thanks

    Boris:

You should be totally exempt from Social Security and Medicare taxes. You would have to file Form 843 to get the Social Security and Medicare taxes back.

Income taxes, I am not so sure. The amount of income you are talking about may get all of your withheld income taxes back even if you are not exempt.
