    Bank Garnishment
Hello I was served a bank garnishment notice in Alabama. I am not working right now and my only income is unemployment. The creditor took all I had out of my bank acc. What I want to know is there anuthing that I can do about this and is there a limit to how much money they can freeze in my acc. Or is there a certain amount of time a month they can freeze assets.

First, were you aware that you had a judgment against you?

Second, the creditor can continue to attach your account until the debt is paid.

To garnish your back account they had a court judgement against you.

They may take all of the money in the account and they will also take any new money you put in, until the complete debt is paid.

Your account can be seized to the full extent of the judgment at one time. They can freeze that account and any subsequent accounts until the debt is paid.
