Australian pension in usa
I am an Australian born.. and naturalized US citizen.. living in the US with my American born wife.. when I reach retirement age next month will I be able to claim the single pension from Australia as it is much more than the married couple pension.. as my wife will not be able to claim an Australian pension we won't be claiming a married couple pension anyway.. so it would seem fair I can claim a single pension.. any advice would be helpful thank you... I cannot believe this is a unique question, but no custodian I have queried can answer it. US citizen working in Australia for 5 - 7 years. There is no US address during that time. Seems that Australia REQUIRES that all financial assets be moved to Australia for the duration of the work period....
