    Car repossess
    Im in financial problem.divorce man with kids giving child support. I really need advise.I can't afford to pay my car anymore.I'm behind 2 months paymens already. What is the best move for me; wait the bank to come and get my car or voluntary reposses? But I don't want to pay whatever I owe because I don't hve money to pay.. I need to get a small car with low monthly payment for me to use for work and for my kids. Help...

    OK, a lot will depend on your cars value and what is owed.

    Best idea is to sell it yourself and pay off the loan with the money from selling it.

    Normally most places will not take it back ( unless it is a buy here / pay here place and they may take it back and sell you a cheaper car on some deal.

    But normally what will happen on any repo, they sell the car, and what ever you owe they deduct this, and then you will still owe the balance, so that is why it is better to sell the car yourself.

    If they repo the car thierself, there will be more repo and legal fees added to what you owe.

    You may consider a 2nd job to help make your current payments
