Kenmore frig collects water under crisper drawers.
:)I have a self defrosting Kenmore refrigerator that is about 5 years old. It has a top mount freezer with icemaker but no water filter and no dispensers on the outside of the door.

Water is leaking (from the freezer, I suppose) into the refrigerator and collects under the crisper drawers and even on the shelves. I have to sop the water up at least once a week or it will leak onto the floor. Also, the water under the crisper drawers partially freezes and some of the refriderator food is freezing as well.

The drawer under the frig that is there to collect the defrosted water is always dry -- no water goes there.

I have turned down the dials to a warmer temp and it didn't change anything.

    What can I do?

Is there a drain hole under the crisper drawers? I have a similar model with a drain under the drawers and have to check every now and then to make sure the hole doesn't get clogged up with goop. Once I remove the goop, the pooled water from the condensation flows into the drain and all is well.

Can you figure out how water is supposed to trickle into the drawer/pan at the bottom? Is there an opening or drain hole anywhere along the refrigerator walls? I wish I could hang out in your kitchen and stick my head into your refrigerator!

I wish you could too. I am going to look for my instruction booklet and maybe it will tell me something. I think the water is supposed to go down a tube in the back. I wonder if the frig could be off balance and the water is just missing the tube. I am a senior citizen and I haven't got t he strength to pull the frig out or anything like that. You are being so helpful. Thank you so much.

I wonder if there's an online version of the instruction booklet. If you name the brand and then the model number, it might pop up.

Our condensed water does get sucked back up to the top, and we used to get puddles on the floor, especially when the drain was clogged. Once my husband leveled the refrigerator and we cleaned out the goop in the drain (and keep an eye on it), we've had no further problems. So, yes, leveling the refrigerator might be your solution.

Is there a neighbor or friend who would pull out the refrigerator and level it?
