    Ceiling fan casing very Hot
    My son's ceiling fan metal casing is very hot.

    Most electric motors get pretty hot when running for long periods. When you say very hot we have no way to tell if it is absnormally hot. No smoke, fan runs, no breakers popping all signs this could be normal. Do not leave it running unattended and let us know if it ever does anything I mentioned

    If the fan works fine otherwise, it is normal for the motor to be hot.
