    Baseboard Heater - Rating are 208/240 or 240/277. With 240V service, Does it matter?

    It might.

    It's pick the 208/240 because likely the mfr chose the midpoint as the resistance of the heaters to size them at. (240-208).

    The wattage has to be slightly different for each voltage: 208, 240, 277. Assuming R is constant at a given temperature. P(watts) = V^2/R where R is resistance in ohms.

    Yes it matters, 240-208 volt rated units used on a 240 volt service will operate at full power.

    277-240 volt units used on 240 volts will not.
