    John deere l100 won't start but does turn over?
    Cheked power at seat kill switch while cranking had 0 volts. Checked fuel filter its OK. Checked fues its OK. Changed spark plug. Don't know if getting spark.

    Hi,
    There should be a ground wire externally that can be unplugged to separate the engine from the frame. It is usually yellow on the Deere L Series. Unplug and recheck. If it still will not start and has no fire, it is the armature(Briggs name for the coil, since actually it is correct because of the spark advance system now built in.)
