Harbor Breeze ceiling fan stopped working
My Harbor Breeze ceiling fan just stopped working. We had a power outage and now it won't work. It does have pull chains and even those will not start the fan. It has a remote and it will not work as well. It is not connected to a wall switch. I am not sure what to do next. Any advice is appreciated.

My guess is a power surge fried the remote receiver. Open the fan at the ceiling, remove the receiver, and wire the fan without it.

I spoke with Litex and they are sending me a new receiver. I took out the old one and re-wired w/o it. It is now running but the light fixture isn't. That's fine. Once I receive the new receiver I will get it all running properly. Thanks for your help!

You will need to isolate where the problem is coming from. This involves checking the wiring connections to ensure they are secure, and checking them with a multi meter to see where the break is in the circuit.

Hi there, I'm having the same problem you are, and I'm fairly certain it's the remote receiver too... my plan, to do what you did, rewire it for now and hope both the fan and light fixture work, and order a new receiver.

To refresh your memory, this is (I think), your reponse:

"I spoke with Litex and they are sending me a new receiver. I took out the old one and re-wired w/o it. It is now running but the light fixture isn't. That's fine. Once I receive the new receiver I will get it all running properly. Thanks for your help!"

My question for you, do you have contact info for Litex? How much did they charge you for a new receiver?

    Thanks for your help.

We have three Harbor Breeze remote control ceiling fans in three different rooms, on three different circuits, all of which stopped working at once. All power in the house is working. The fans don't work from remotes or wall switches. No clue what happened. Any suggestions?
