    Distributor
I have a 98 gmc yukon with a 5.7 350. Upon doing work on my vehicle I lost the original screws that fit the distributor cap to the distributor and replaced with some others that fit. The other screws actually bored through the distributor holes and now the cap just sits losely on the distributor. I have another ditsributor but have a few questions. How do you know if a distributor has been modified or not? If anything, what can I do to make it work for me? I know that there is a kind of sensor or whatever it's called screwed to the distributor, can this just be changed out. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks
