Does anybody know about the 4l60e transmissions?
I have a 99 chevy silveraldo ls 1500, with the 4l60e tranny, it started shifting a little funny like one day it would shift fine, then I parked it and got in it to go to town and noticed it didn't won't to shift prperly like it kind of held back a little before shifting through the gears then it would shift fine after restarting. So I changed the fluid and filter. Cleaned the magnet inside the pan and found a little bit of metal, after putting back together, I now only have 2nd , 3rd and reverse, and I have to shift it manualy by hand, does this kind of tranny have to be reprogrammed since it is electronic? Can anybody give me some info on this kind of tranny? Thanks
