So in a few years ask how to find her.

First who adopted you ? A family member ? Do you know her name, do you know your dads name ? Why do't you care about your father.

Who is raising you ? Do you have adopted parents ?

Answer the questions that Fr_Chuck asked like Who adopted you? Was it a family member? Ask the people who adopted you if they knew your parents. Or there names. If they don't want to talk about them than you can go this rout.

You need to find out is if it was an open or closed adoption.
If it's a closed adoption then it will take a judge to open the records and a really good reason for opening them.

If it was an open adoption than you can find the adoption records and it will have your mothers information on it.

Once you have her information than you can do a search on a website meant for finding people.

If you have the money than you can hire a private investigator. They know better ways of finding people than you will.

But be sure you want to find her. Ask yourself first these questions:

What if I find her and she doesn't want to know me?
What if she has other kids, and what will that do to me?

If you can deal with that then find her.

I'd still like to know why you're answering your own question, too.
