    Disappearing internet (Verizon)
I have a DSL line with Verizon. For months I've had trouble getting on the internet or staying connected once I'm on. At this point the internet is dropped frequently but not continuously. When I try to change pages, I frequently get a message "problem loading page" at this point the internet light on the modem has disappeared. I must then turn everything off, wait 15-20 seconds and then turn on again and hope I can re-connect.

I've had three technicians from Verizon: 1. I needed a new modem 2. said that the lines were crossed outside of the residence 3. said the speed from their central location was too high (he reduced it from 1500+ to 700+). Two more came this morning and said they were here to fix my computer but they didn't find anything wrong with it and they couldn't do anything about the internet, I must call Verizon. That's how they got here, Verizon sent them!! I've been told by Verizon to get a new internet card, to get Mozilla, to buy a package from them for Expert Technical Service, 24/7,download Verizon's "Agent in the Home" and have spent countless hours speaking to Verizon's "technical staff" where I have to crawl around on the floor checking wires, etc. I'm often sent to India and to the Philippines where nobody understands anybody.

Has anyone else had this problem or am I the only lucky one? Please help!

They should monitor your line. And see how the quality is. It sounds like you have a problem there. Also check this site for problems in your area.
