Do I use teflon tape on cpvc connectors
I screwed metal shut-offs on to cpvc male threads. They all leak. Did I overtighten? Should I use teflon tape?

Use 3 turns on 1/2 inch pipe and 4 turns on 3/4 inch.

Be sure to shut main before working on the valves.

Check thread to see if u cross threaded when u put on valve.

Agree, all threaded connections including NG and propane should use tape of paste. Water and gas do not use the same tape or paste.
