Can I take nopalea if I take blood thinners. Many drugs effect it and my blood gets to thin or to thick if I take certain things along with my coumadin.

Cannot buy "your product"? We aren't selling any product here.

    What are you asking about?

    Ask your Pharmacist.

You posted 3 times - we're all volunteers and need time to respond to you.

    Lynda-

Ultimately you should consult your physician before trying the product, but for most people on cumadin, if they have been cleared by their doctor to drink fruit juices, Nopalea should not have an adverse effect.

You have given dangerous advice - "most people"? Please post your research. Your advice may very well encourage the OP to take nopalea without consulting with a Physician.

    Here is my research:

"The only caution we discovered concerns the blood-thinner warfarin (Coumadin).

If you take warfarin you need to speak with your pharmacist. Nopalea is a fruit juice. In rare instances, people on warfarin will be restricted from consuming fruit juices for a short time while their medication stabilizes. Only your physician and pharmacist know if you should be restricted from fruit juices at this time, so ask them before you take it. But we have not found a single instance of drug interaction in the medical literature; Nopalea should be very safe."

My comment in no way was intended to encourage someone to take the product without consulting a physician... I outright opened my comment with "consult a physician". As for my research, I was looking for the very same quote that you just posted on the TriVita website rather than an affiliate page (which is what you posted) and wasn't able to find it.

Regardless, thanks for backing up my comment with the actual words from the company... If I had been able to find that quote on the company website, I would have posted that directly rather than what I ended up posting.

Nopalea is an anti-inflammatory, which means it naturally thins blood in order for it to work more effectively. Anyone on coumadin is advised not to eat any foods that thin the blood. That includes spinach, pineapple, papaya and others.
