Are the Fan and light wires going to their own switch?
Black/white or blue is usually the lights wire, black usually fan. Verify connection or voltage in canopy.

I would get the Fan working without any remotes before trying to add a remote/receiver.
You have light and fan wire connected to your switched power in canopy?

How do you know it is not a faulty remote? Because the other works? you need to get fan working without the remote first.
Can you say yet that you have 120 volts to the fan wire in canopy. Really could use the answers.
