Are the Fan and light wires going to their own switch?
Black/white or blue is usually the lights wire, black usually fan. Verify connection or voltage in canopy.
No its all going to one switch. Since it didn't work with its own in wall control I bought a ceiling fan and light remote control and still the light turns on and dims but the fan doesn´t turn on

Well what I found out is that the fan motor doesn´t work I have another fan and that one works so I know its not the wiring from the house or a faultyremoteQuote:

Can you say yet that you have 120 volts to the fan wire in canopy. Really could use the answers.
