    Is my poem good?
    The World of Books
    A poem by Lesley Chao

    My mind wanders,
I drift into a book which I ponder,
A world of wonders and uncertain fates,
A world on another planet, time, or another state,
I enter The World of Books.

    I have read about romance,
Characters just begging for another dance!
Princes and Princess at magnificent balls,
Evil queens and poison apples hidden in shadowy halls,
I enter The World of Books.

    Spies hiding in dark spaces,
Maps that say, "Walk 20 paces",
Evil and gloom waiting to be defeated,
Great lords in tall thrones seated,
I enter The World of Books.

    Unicorns and fairy godmothers,
Giants, dragons and all kinds of others,
    Magical old crones,
Living in houses of candy and ice cream cones.
I enter The World of Books.

Sneaking sleuths in brown trench coats,
Stolen sneakers and even dead goats!
    Suspects and red herrings,
    Stolen diamonds earnings,
I enter The World of Books.

    Aliens and spaceships,
Fleeing from their home and hardships,
    Invading Mars,
And even a leader, Cadet Lars!
I enter The World of Books.

    Runaway dogs,
    Children pretending to be hogs,
And at school, learning about friction,
    It's all realistic fiction!
I enter The World of Books.

    Books can be magical,
    They are practical,
    Irresistible and make me crazy!
Go on, discover, and don’t be lazy!
    Enter: The world of books.

Each stanza is about a certain genre of books.
I hope you were able to catch it :)
    Thanks for reading!!

It was really good. The only thing ( personal not critique) is I would have changed one part to make it fit a little better. But you did awesome.

    Magical old crones,
Living in houses of candy and ice cream cones.

Magical men of mystery and delight.
Those that ride horses ready to fight.

    Ref: Wizzards and Knights.

Seems to fit better in that section. You must have been hungry when you wrote it :)

    Great job, lesleycchao! :)

Is there a particular reason that you wrote it, please?

Also, I like the suggestions of califdadof3!

    Thanks!
