I had a friend that I have known for 12 years.She does not work and she has boyfriend who does not work,but gets disability.I had helped them out for a few months with buying things like,cigarettes,groceries,using my gas to bring them places.I also borrowed them a few things like,a box fan,movies,a book and a few other things.
The money they owe me actually comes to about $350-$400 but I just asked for $250.
Well,her boyfriend started acting like a jerk and now has told her she cannot talk to me either.I want my money and my belongings back.I have tried to contact them many times but they do not answer.I tried going over there but they would not answer the door.I have the court papers to file.My question is,how do I collect from them when he is on disability.I know we have a process that we can take to enforce payment,but can and will the courts enforce them to pay ,with this lazy,taxpayer user,jerk who could get a job really help me? I live in Wisconsin.Do you know the law here about a person on disability paying a lawsuit against them?

You won't be able to collect any cash from a person who receives SS Disability. You may be able to get some of your items returned to you, but the money is gone - poof. Your friend is judgment proof so you're just out the dough and your time with no legal recourse.
