What does 'invertible' load center mean?
In Siemen's literature, they state "13. All indoor Ultimate Load Centers are invertible for bottom feed applications."

Does this mean that the panel can be flipped upside down so that the Main breaker is on the bottom (presumably allowed since the breaker On/Off is horizontal rather than vertical)?

If so, does it matter that the breaker numbering, stamped into the panel cover, reads upside down? I'll be covering these with labels anyway so I don't care...

I like the idea, with a bottom feed, to have shorter (and out of the way) service feed wires.

Yes, invertible means the panel can be flipped to have the Main on the top or bottom, and the circuit legend will have two lists of numbers reversed so no matter which way the cover is installed it will be readable.

Great! Thanks again! BTW, if you're going to be near Belfast during the last 3 weeks of this month, hopefully I'll have the fruits of your wisdom to show off (plus I still owe you that scotch).
